Educational and Vocational Aspirations of Minority and Female Students: A Longitudinal Study.

Survey of 10th-grade students found that sex and race significantly predicted their educational and vocational aspirations. The educational aspiration model was shown to be more robust than occupational aspiration model. Asian Americans had the greatest increase in educational aspirations; female students had higher educational and vocational aspirations. (Author/JDM)
