Understanding Noncustodial Fathers' Family and Life Satisfaction from Resource Theory Perspective.
Rettig, Kathryn D.; Leichtentritt, Ronit D.; Stanton, Laura M.
Journal of Family Issues, v20 n4 p507-38 Jul 1999
Examines family and life satisfaction of 212 noncustodial fathers three years following divorce. Results indicate that significant predictors of family and life satisfaction are perceived economic well-being, cooperative communication during conflict and during coparenting, low importance of resource deprivation, and low frequency of conflict. Involvement with children was not a significant predictor. (Author/MKA)
