Wechsler, Henry; Lee, Jae Eun; Kuo, Meichun; Lee, Hang
Journal of American College Health, v48 n5 p199-210 Mar 2000
Resurveyed colleges from two previous studies on alcohol use. Data from 14,000 students indicated that 44 percent were binge drinkers (the same rate as before). Both abstention and frequent binge drinking rates have increased significantly. Binge drinkers were more likely than other students to experience alcohol-related problems. Students on campuses with high binge-drinking rates experienced high rates of secondhand alcohol problems. (SM)
