Quality Evaluation of Teaching in Higher Education.

After briefly reviewing the origins, principles, and procedures of the current interest in quality evaluation of university teaching, this article questions the validity of the criteria used, e.g., numerical indicators, student evaluations, expert evaluations, and stresses instead the need for evaluation criteria to use indicators based on the quality of learning.
