Technophilia vs. Technophobia: A Preliminary Look at Why Second-Language Teachers Do or Do Not Use Technology in Their Classrooms.
Lam, Yvonne
Canadian Modern Language Review, v56 n3 p390-420 Mar 2000
Interviews were conducted with 10 second language (L2) teachers and analyzed for their content in light of these questions: (1) What are the reasons behind L2 teachers' decisions to use technology?; (2) Why do some L2 teachers choose not to use technology for teaching?; and (3) What factors influence these decisions? Results indicate hat teachers' use of technology is related to their beliefs and not a resistance to technology. (Author/VWL)
