This study compared girls (N=96) and boys (N=108) with (N=100) and without (N=104) learning disabilities (LD), in grades K-8, for prevalence of depression and type of depressive symptoms reported. Although mean levels of depressive symptoms did not differ between students with and without LD, there were a variety of specific significant differences in prevalence and symptom types between groups and genders.
