Attitudes toward Diversity in Cooperative Extension: A Two-State Study.
Ingram, Patreese D.; Moore, Eddie A.
Equity & Excellence in Education, v32 n3 p83-92 Dec 1999
Investigated attitudes toward diversity held by professionals at Pennsylvania and Michigan Cooperative Extension. Surveys of Extension personnel indicated that respondents in both states had positive attitudes toward equality of gender, were comfortable with people different from themselves, preferred cultural diversity and pluralism to assimilation, and appreciated multilingualism. Differences by gender and Extension position were evident. (SM)
