Person-Centered Counseling after 50 Years: How Is It Faring in School-Land?
Colvin, Gerry
American Secondary Education, v28 n1 p19-26 Fall 1999
Surveyed 39 practicing school counselors concerning their support for basic tenets of person-centered counseling. Participants revealed support for essential counseling values, such as genuineness, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. However, counselors doubted whether the counseled would progress without the counselor's interpretations, diagnoses, evaluations, and directives. (MLH)
