Tang, Taryn N.; Dion, Kenneth L.
Sex Roles: A Journal of Research, v41 n1/2 p17-29 Jul 1999
Investigated correlates of acculturation among Chinese Canadian university students' beliefs and expectations about social roles pertaining to school, work, family, and personal relationships, exploring differences in attitudes as correlates of cultural and gender role traditionalism perceived for self and one's parents. Surveys revealed significant gender differences in traditionalism and a generational discrepancy between self and perceived parental values for women. (SM)
