Likert Scaling Using Continuous, Censored, and Graded Response Models: Effects on Criterion-Related Validity.
Ferrando, Pere Joan
Applied Psychological Measurement, v23 n2 p161-75 Jun 1999
Examined the performance of three item-response models applied to data collected from a conventionally developed Likert-type personality scale administered to 657 Spanish undergraduates. Models' response assumptions were reasonably tenable, and the solutions obtained for the continuous, censored, and graded-response models were similar. (SLD)
