Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder is believed to be the most common childhood disease in our society. This article serves to provide school counselors with an increased understanding of federal acts and laws that can be applicable to students. Also provides counselors with implications for practice, utilizing a multidimensional-treatment approach to work with these children. Reinforces the need for long-term approach. (Author/JDM)
