Neighborhood Schools Again? Race, Educational Interest, and Traditional Values.
Pride, Richard A.; May, Harry Vaughn, Jr.
Urban Education, v34 n3 p389-410 Sep 1999
Analysis of public-opinion data from Nashville (Tennessee) indicates a division between those who favor neighborhood schools, drawn from those with traditional religious values, and those who reject neighborhood schools, including people with no children and who are better educated. Race and racial attitudes are not significantly related to a preference for neighborhood schools. (SLD)
