College Alcohol Use: A Full or Empty Glass?
Wechsler, Henry; Molnar, Beth E.; Davenport, Andrea E.; Baer, John S.
Journal of American College Health, v47 n6 p247-52 May 1999
Used data from the 1993 Harvard School of Public Health College Alcohol Study to describe students' weekly alcohol consumption and associated problems. Behavioral norms for alcohol consumption differed widely among students and across colleges. Nationally, one in five college students was a frequent binge drinker. Binge drinkers accounted for most of the alcohol consumed and problems encountered on campuses. (SM)
