Galambos, Nancy L.; Kolaric, Giselle C.; Sears, Heather A.; Maggs, Jennifer L.
Journal of Research on Adolescence, v9 n3 p309-37 1999
Two studies investigated relationship between adolescents' subjective age and self-reported problem behavior, autonomy, and peer relationships. Findings indicated that older subjective age among 15-year olds correlated positively with problem behaviors, behavioral autonomy, and involvement with other-sex peers. When chronological age and pubertal status in 9- to 17-year olds were controlled, subjective age correlated with problem behavior, behavioral autonomy, and peer relationships. (Author/KB)
