Responding to Sexual Harassment: Implications for Counselling Adolescent Girls.
Luft, Toupey M.; Cairns, Kathleen V.
Canadian Journal of Counselling, v33n 2 p112-26 Apr 1999
Study outlines processes involved in adolescent girls' responding to sexual harassment. Grounded theory methodology is used to create a theory of these processes. "Learning about the self" was the core category elicited from interviews. Processes represent girls' movement from seeing themselves as "objects" of others' experiences to becoming "subjects" of their own experience. (Author/JDM)
