Borderline Personality in Adolescence: An Overview for Counselors.
Craig, Stephen E.; Fall, Kevin A.
Journal of Mental Health Counseling, v20 n4 p315-31 Oct 1998
Borderline-personality disorder in adolescence is thought to develop through environmental sources, and object-relations theory posits a developmental arrest in the separation-individuation phase of development. This article discusses gender and race considerations, issues related to counseling, general treatment strategies such as coping-skills training, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. (Author/MKA)
