Hamer, Jennifer F.
Western Journal of Black Studies, v22 n2 p117-27 Sum 1998
Studied factors encouraging or inhibiting the involvement of noncustodial African-American fathers with their children. Interviews with 38 fathers suggest that relationships are influenced by their relationships with their children's mothers, work schedules, physical proximity, and having multiple sets of children. Interviews show that African-American fathers make great efforts to maintain ties with their children. Contains 26 references. (Author/SLD)
