Early intervention is necessary to minimize effects of ADHD in adulthood. Strategies for identifying preparation issues in high school and preparing these students for work or postsecondary education are provided. Characteristics of ADHD students are reviewed along with coexisting conditions, particularly academic underachievement. Discusses vocational and postsecondary issues. (EMK)
