National study compared expenditures for teacher-education programs across four major Carnegie Classifications and with other disciplines. Results indicated that education programs were funded below the institutional average for all disciplines in all Carnegie Classifications. Education programs were less well funded than other professional programs, with the exception of social work and accounting at research institutions. (SM)
