Uses a Q sort to explore the range of attitudes among journalism faculty at a single institution regarding optimum approaches to improve student writing skills. Finds significant differences on several factors (along process and product dispositions), but also reveals agreement on selected teaching approaches despite philosophical differences. (SR)
