The Psychiatric Morbidity Hypothesis: A Response to San Miguel, Forness, and Kavale.
Wiener, Judith
Learning Disability Quarterly, v21 n3 p195-201 Sum 1998
Responds to Miguel, Forness, and Kavale, who argued that the social skills deficits typically found in children with learning disabilities are largely due to the comorbidity of learning disabilities with psychiatric disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depressive disorder. This review finds this relationship for LD and ADHD but not LD and depression. (Author/DB)
