Evaluating Behavioral Techniques in Training Individuals with Severe and Profound Mental Retardation to Use Functional Independent Living Skills.
Matson, Johnny L.; Bamburg, Jay; Smiroldo, Brandi B.; Smalls, Yemonja
Behavior Modification, v21 n4 p533-44 Oct 1997
Evaluates three training techniques for enhancing independent living skills and examines differential treatment efficacy. Results, based on 30 severely or profoundly mentally retarded adults, indicate that the control group failed to achieve the results of the two treatment groups. Findings support the necessity of implementing updated treatment procedures in institutional settings. (RJM)
