How to Think About the Brain.
Caine, Renate Nummela; Caine, Geoffrey
School Administrator, v55 n1 p12-16 Jan 1998
Reducing brain research from the neurosciences to prescriptive teaching strategies shortchanges the immense promise this research holds for education. Educators should remain cautious, since researchers often disagree about conclusions and theories; neurological research operates at a concrete, mechanistic, or reductionist level; most researchers do not work with the whole brain; and reality is an interconnected whole. Includes a 33-item list of resources. (MLH)
