Beck, Hall P.; Palmer, Randall M.; Lindau, William D.; Carpenter, Paige L.
Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, v25 n3-4 p123-30 1997
Using data on 509 inmates, assessed the extent that commonly used background and psychometric variables influenced prisoner promotion to minimum security settings. Found psychopathic deviate scores to have the greatest impact. Derived a computer program to improve promotion decisions by identifying recommendations inconsistent with an inmate's background and psychometric data. (RJM)
