The Determinants of Indigenous Employment Outcomes: The Importance of Education and Training.
Hunter, B.
Australian Bulletin of Labour, v23 n3 p177-92 Sep 1997
A review of the regression results regarding poor employment outcomes for indigenous people in Australia suggests that education is the largest single factor in determining employment outcomes. Employers may be using education as a screening device, and low levels of education mean indigenous people will be undervalued by employers. (JOW)
