Campbell, J. Olin; Bourne, John
Journal of Computing in Higher Education, v9 n1 p80-88 Fall 1997
Increasingly, higher education institutions and businesses are developing distributed learning systems to provide continuing job-related and professional education. Principles and examples of distributed learning and support systems that promote individual development are outlined, considering issues of motivation, speed of program development, and costs. Focus is on World Wide Web-based learning, particularly that available for use anytime and anyplace. (Author/MSE)
