Can Document Delivery Compensate for Reduced Serials Holdings? A Life Sciences Library Perspective.
Hughes, Janet
College & Research Libraries, v58 n5 p421-31 Sep 1997
Discussion of access versus ownership for libraries facing rising serials cost. Focuses on a study at Pennsylvania State University that tested the feasibility of using commercial document delivery (CDD) as compensation for discontinued ownership, as a complement to ownership, and as a supplement to ownership.
