The problem of desegregating public higher education, particularly in the southern states, cannot be adequately addressed by court litigation or administrative mandates and directives. This study of teacher educators' theoretical frames shows that higher education faculty must undergo a process of personal and collective transformation focused on testing and framing assumptions about deconstructing curricular bias.
