The Effect of Employment Interview Format on Principals' Evaluations of Teachers.

The effectiveness of structured and branched-format employment interviews in differentiating strong and weak teachers was studied with 8 teachers and 16 principals. Correlations between principals' ratings and teacher self-ratings were also studied. Both interview methods were effective, and results support the practice of using verbal interviews in teacher selection. (SLD)
