Identifying Special Advising Needs of Women Engineering Students.

Interviews with 40 women engineering students revealed various difficulties and dissatisfactions they encountered in their engineering programs. Inadequate counseling and advising were identified as major barriers to students' satisfaction. Discusses role models, career guidance, and the career search. Suggests that many of these problems can be addressed through better advising practices. (RJM)
