A survey of United Kingdom universities investigated the nature and extent of group learning/group assessment in undergraduate computer science courses. Qualitative and quantitative data assessed amount and control of group learning/group assessment, methods of grading groups, and teachers' attitudes toward groups. Results show the approach to be established in varying degrees in the courses. More reliable assessment is needed. (Author/MSE)
