Olson, Myrna R.; And Others
Remedial and Special Education, v18 n1 p28-35 Jan-Feb 1997
A study of 10 elementary and secondary teachers skilled at including students with disabilities in general education classrooms found seven unifying characteristics, including tolerant, reflective, and flexible personalities; acceptance of responsibility for all students; positive relationship with special educators; and adjusting expectations for integrated students. Teachers reported insufficient collaborative time and reservations about full inclusion. Interview questions are appended. (Author/CR)
