School psychologists' traditional assessment role is being reevaluated as they assume greater responsibility for providing special services for students and training and advice for teachers. To establish relationships among administrators, school psychologists, and teachers, principals must learn about the school psychologist's role, peruse current legislation and literature, explore effective programs, and encourage team building.
