This study analyzed how participants viewed an ongoing school-university collaboration for alternative teacher education and negotiated discontinuities. Interviews, journals, and questionnaires indicated patterns of changing roles between university faculty, cooperating teachers, and student interns. As participants negotiated common agendas, a spiraling process of educational renewal in schools and university emerged. (SM)
