Deprivation, Poverty and Marginalization in Rural Lifestyles in England and Wales.
Cloke, Paul; And Others
Journal of Rural Studies, v11 n4 p351-65 Oct 1995
Rural problems are obscured by constructions of "idyll-ized" rural life as the spatial expression of self-supporting, happy, problem-free existence in a market economy. (British) Rural Lifestyles study findings suggest that rural problems are associated with a wide range of experiences of marginalization (economic, political, cultural) that cannot be mapped out according to normative or cultural expectations.
