Issues and Challenges in the Design of Curriculum Information Systems.
Nowacek, George; Friedman, Charles P.
Academic Medicine, v70 n12 p1096-1100 Dec 1995
The design of medical school curriculum information systems for use by faculty, students, and staff is explored. A system is explained to contain the objectives, content, and/or educational activities that compose the curriculum. Three distinct system designs are discussed: a curriculum database (most helpful for administrators), a curriculum textbase (for faculty), and an electronic syllabus (for students). (Author/MSE)
