Prediction of Future High Caries Increments for Children in a School Dental Service and in Private Practice.
Imfeld, Thomas N.; And Others
Journal of Dental Education, v59 n10 p941-44 Oct 1995
A method for predicting high dental caries increments for children, based on previous research, is presented. Three clinical findings were identified as predictors: number of sound primary molars, number of discolored pits/fissures on first permanent molars, and number of buccal and lingual smooth surfaces of first permanent molars with white spots. Use of these guidelines in school dental services is discussed. (MSE)
