Two classes of fourth-grade students received hearing conservation instruction in two one-hour sessions. Significant increases in knowledge concerning noise-induced hearing loss and hearing conservation practices were seen in both classes. Most children reported they intended to use ear protection when engaging in noisy activities. (Author/DB)
