Supervision of Preservice Teachers during an Early Field Teaching Experience.

This study compared the effects of two supervisory models (self-assessment and collaborative) on types and frequency of teacher verbal feedback statements during early field experiences for preservice physical educators. Videotapes and observation data indicated that collaborative supervision increased students' positive specific interactions with learners while decreasing their positive general interactions. (SM)
