In districts cooperating with college preservice teacher programs, school administrators can help student teachers avoid negative experiences. The administrator should smooth the agreement process, resolve logistical problems, observe certification requirements for multiple placements, promote a graduated teaching experience, report unusual performance difficulties to the college representative, and choose strong mentoring teachers.
