Mental Health Problems and Alcohol Abuse: Co-occurrence and Gender Differences.
O'Hare, Thomas
Health & Social Work, v20 n3 p207-14 Aug 1995
Surveys 376 clients receiving outpatient services at a mental health center. Results demonstrate that women self-reported significantly more psychosocial distress and family pathology and men reported more community problems and health concerns. For both sexes, level of alcohol consumption varied directly with severity of psychophysiological symptoms and community and health problems. (JPS)
