Sex Differences in Crime: Do Means and Within-Sex Variation Have Similar Causes?
Rowe, David C.; And Others
Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, v32 n1 p84-100 Feb 1995
Investigates whether the determinants of males' higher level of delinquency, as compared to females, resemble determinants of within-sex variation. Results indicate that the mean difference in delinquency between males and females may arise because males are more exposed to etiologic factors, such as impulsivity and rebelliousness, than are females.
