This study investigated the opinions of 110 students (grade 10) with normal achievement concerning the relative importance of 14 communication skills in their positive peer relationships. Communication skills associated with characteristics of empathy and being addressee-focused were ranked as relatively high in importance. No significant differences were found in ratings between male and female respondents. (Author/DB)
