Lighting the Way for Systemic Reform: The Edison Project Launches Its Version of a Public-Private Partnership.
McGriff, Deborah M.
School Administrator, v52 n7 p14-19 Aug 1995
The Edison Project, advocating a new form of public-private partnership to reinvent education, has repeatedly encountered barriers such as state regulations, professional isolation, inertia, bureaucracy, miscommunication, and a finance and governance monopoly. Four communities will open Edison Project schools this fall. Superintendent Larry Vaughn tells why the Wichita (Kansas) public schools chose Edison. (MLH)
