Promoting the Preschooler's Chances for Success: A Program Efficacy Review for Behaviorally Disordered or Emotionally Troubled Children.
Page, Marilyn; And Others
Early Child Development and Care, v106 p167-76 Feb 1995
Analyzes studies published in the 1980s that used psychosocial interventions for preschoolers exhibiting behavioral and emotional difficulties. Finds that social modeling and teaching parents behavioral principles show promise as effective interventions. Suggests that parental involvement is important in successful interventions and that school social workers should consult with, educate, and instruct parents and teachers in techniques of behavioral intervention.
