Further Examination of Teacher Behavior in Differentially Effective Schools: Selection and Socialization Process.
Crone, Linda J.; Teddlie, Charles
Journal of Classroom Interaction, v30 n1 p1-9 1995
This study examined means and variances of teacher behavior in effective versus ineffective elementary schools. Teacher and principal interviews and observations on seven dimensions of teaching behavior indicated effective schools had better teacher socialization processes, stronger instructional leaders, strictly enforced schoolwide discipline policies, and more thorough means of teacher selection/dismissal.
