Lindsay, Debbie; And Others
Child Abuse & Neglect: The International Journal, v19 n2 p265-69 Feb 1995
This report describes a young girl in an isolated Manitoba (Canada) community who developed a gonococcal infection resulting from sexual abuse. The report highlights difficulties associated with diagnosis and investigation of sexual assault in remote areas, such as unavailability of culture diagnostic methods and the need for transfer of patients substantial distances for appropriate testing.
