The Interaction of Race, Gender and Social Class Effects in the Education of Deaf Students.

Data from a longitudinal study of 451 deaf adolescents found racial, gender, and possibly social class effects in their education. Some evidence also suggested interaction of these effects. The study supports consideration of the concept of race in relation to deaf education, in terms of parental income, educational attainment, and language attitudes. (Author/DB)
