Statistical Methods for the Analysis of Critical Life Events.
Fraser, Mark W.; And Others
Social Work Research, v18 n3 p163-77 Sep 1994
Examines methodological problems associated with analysis of event data by comparing five alternative statistical specifications: multiple regression, discriminant analysis, logistic regression, tobit regression, and event history analysis. Uses each procedure to estimate risk factors for out-of-home placement among children in families that received intensive family preservation services. Discusses accuracy and precision of models produced by each method. (Author/NB)
