A Longitudinal Study of Perceived Family Adjustment and Emotional Adjustment in Early Adolescence.
Ohannessian, Christine McCauley; And Others
Journal of Early Adolescence, v14 n3 p371-90 Aug 1994
Examined the predictive relationship between family adjustment and emotional adjustment during early adolescence and the influence of adolescents' levels of self-worth, peer support, and coping abilities. Found that family adjustment and emotional adjustment are reciprocally related and that high levels of self-worth, peer support, and coping techniques protected adolescents from potentially harmful effects of the relationship.
